Each team may have a maximum of three fishermen. Children 15 years of age and under may fish as a third member of the team free of entry fees. Boat and bank fishermen will be treated the same. Any person who is an AZTroopers member or associate is eligible to fish the tournament. At least one member of the team must be an AZTroopers member or associate member.
The Southwest Police Motorcycle Training and Competition is a threefold event consists of motorcycle training, skills competition, and community engagement through support of Special Olympics.In 1997 SPMTC started with approximately 35 participants from about 7 police agencies. Since then, this event has grown to have 130 motor officers competing from 25 different agencies and the location rotates between Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas. In addition to participants, many vendors and spectators come together to enjoy the event and support participating law enforcement. AZTroopers provides support in many ways to the families of all our officers. At our tournament, we honor each and every fallen officer through the dedication of a corporate hole sponsor in their memory. AZTroopers works throughout the state supporting and promoting safety programs and charitable events such as the Law Enforcement Memorial Program, MADD, Concerns of Police Survivors, Special Olympics and Seat Belt Safety programs. The AZTroopers Memorial Golf Classic also awards annual college scholarships in honor of our fallen officers. We provide support to many public safety programs throughout Arizona and take pride in our representation at memorial services in honor of law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
