There will be a $20.00 per team late fee for teams registering after the March 2nd, 2018 deadline.
All Arizona Game and Fish regulations will be adhered to. Any legal bait is acceptable.
ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
Each team may have a maximum of three fishermen. Children 15 years of age and under may fish as a third member of the team free of entry fees. Boat and bank fishermen will be treated the same. Any person who is an AZTroopers member or associate is eligible to fish the tournament. At least one member of the team must be an AZTroopers member or associate member.
INELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS
Any person, who has paid $150.00 or more to enter a fishing contest, is a fishing guide and is not an AZTroopers member or associate member is ineligible to fish the tournament. The committee will rule on any questionable entry. The slot limit on Alamo Lake was lifted January 2013. A maximum of 6 fish may be weighed per team per day. Bass caught on the first day of the tournament cannot be weighed on the second day of the tournament.
Conflicts regarding the weights of a stringer of fish will be settled by the Tournament Committee. Ties will be settled by biggest bass. The Tournament Committee may inspect any teams live-well or stringer at any time.
RULE CHANGES
1. Pre-fishing will be allowed through Wednesday April 11, 2018. All boats must be off the water 30 minutes after sunset. No fishing after sunset.
2. Big Bass Option: If one member of the team enters the Big Bass option all members of the team must enter the Big Bass option.
The start time of the tournament will be at safe light as determined by the Tournament Committee. Weigh-in for Thursday April
12, 2018 will be 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. There will be no fishing between weigh-in on Thursday, April 12th and start time on Friday, April 13th. Starting time on April 13, 2018 will be at safelight. Final weigh-in will be between 1200 and 1230 PM on Friday April 13, 2018.
The Tournament headquarters will be at the Cholla camp ground site C34. Look for the Arizona State Flag (wind permitting).
Children 15 years of age and under fishing for Bluegill from the bank only may enter the Bluegill competition free of any fees. Children 15 years of age and under who are fishing as part of a team may also enter the Bluegill competition.
All Bluegill fishermen must be registered prior to the start of the tournament.
PRIZES
1st through 3rd heaviest Bass stringer, two day weight: Cash and Trophies
4th through 10th heaviest Bass stringer, two day weight: Cash
1st through 3rd place Big Bass Cash
Heaviest Catfish, one place: Cash
Big Bass contestants will be allowed only their heaviest Bass caught during the two days for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place. Each contestant may enter each option pot only once.
Bluegill fishermen will receive a prize.
All entries and fees must be received no later than March 2, 2018. Late entries cannot be guaranteed a hat.
Registration at the lake will be on April 11, 2018 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM At Alamo Lake State Park Cholla campground sight 34C. Beginning at 5:00 PM on Thursday, April 12, 2018 the annual Bass tournament dinner will be held at the Cholla group use
campsite.
Additional meals are $15.00 per adult.
