  • ï‚· Sign-On Bonuses: $7,500 for new recruits and laterals.
  • ï‚· Nightshift/Weekend Differentials: $1–$2 per hour for late or weekend shifts

Meanwhile, DPS troopers only receive base pay, making it harder for them to support their families, especially given the rising cost of living in Arizona. The absence of competitive compensation has contributed to high turnover rates, with many troopers leaving DPS for better paying jobs in other agencies.
