Arizona State Troopers Association
The Arizona State Troopers Association (AZTroopers) was formed in 1958. A full 11 years before the Department of Public Safety (DPS) in 1969. Our association represents all DPS employees, including sworn, civilian, and retired exclusively. They are represented nationally in Washington, D.C. by the National Troopers Coalition. The NTC is over 42,000 members strong and allows each state association to retain complete autonomy. Statewide AZTroopers is represented by the (APA) Arizona Police Association with nearly 12,000 active members from agencies all over Arizona.
