AZTroopers awards THOUSANDS of dollars in scholarships each year!
Simply read through the eligibility requirements on the next tab and you can fill out the application online. You can attach/upload all of the necessary documents with your application.
Once complete you will be notified that your application was received and entered into the application process. Please follow all instructions carefully and supply all necessary documents for your application to be successfully submitted to the committee.

- Applicant must be the dependent son or daughter of an active Arizona State Trooper Association (ASTA) member (sworn, civilian or retired). Member must have two (2) years in the Arizona State Troopers Association to qualify for a scholarship**.
- Applicant must be under the age of 24 and at least a high school senior at time of application.
- Selection for a scholarship will be made by the Arizona State Troopers Association Scholarship Committee based on submitted application. (See Application Requirements listed below for specific information)
- Enrollment as a full-time student as defined by attending accredited college/university, vocational or trade school.
- Applicant must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA.
- Applicant is or will be an undergraduate if attending a college/university.
- Scholarship payment will be 50% of scholarship amount per semester.
- Applicant must plan on earning their undergraduate degree within four (4) years if attending an accredited college/university or required timeframe if attending a vocational/trade school.
- Applications must be received no later than March 15 to be accepted for the following school year.
- Scholarship selections will be announced no later than the May Arizona State Troopers Association (ASTA) meeting.
** Minimum year requirement is waived if members death occurs before the two (2) year requirement.
- Applicantsโ most recent high school transcript and/or a copy of their GED.
- Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended.
- Two (2) current signed and dated letters of recommendation from people other than a relative. Letter writer must know the applicant for more than two (2) years. Do not submit previously submitted letters of recommendation.
- Resume, to include but is not limited to education, work history, community service, hobbies and/or other interests.
- Personal essay prepared by the applicant must include but is not limited to information on family, career goal(s) and plan to achieve the career goal(s), interests, community service and why the applicant deserves the Arizona State Troopers Association (ASTA) scholarship. Essay to be no less than 300 but no more than 1,000 words.
- I certify the information provided is complete and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
- I hereby give consent to the ASTA, its agents, employees or designees to verify the contents of this application with any individual, government, educational institution or other entity.
- I understand the ASTA may request additional information to determine suitability for a scholarship.
- I agree to share and allow the release and publication of my name, photo, GPA and application information when necessary and give my permission for the ASTA to share this information for the purpose of public relations or recruitment.
- I acknowledge it is my responsibility to keep the ASTA informed of any address or contact information changes.
- I understand all application material becomes the property of the ASTA and cannot be returned.
- I understand if I am selected as a recipient of a scholarship I may be requested to attend an ASTA meeting for presentation of the scholarship.
