$25,000 GRAND PRIZE!
We’ve been hosting a raffle each year for over 35 years now to generate funds we use to support our members and donate to other charities we support.
Our annual raffle allows us to donate thousands of dollars each year to needing charities and help extend the effective reach of our members to other organizations. Even though the Grand Prize is huge, the ticket price is still small – twenty bucks is not bad for an opportunity to win a $25,000, $2,000, $1,500, $1,000 or a $500 cash prize! We are excited to continue the opportunity to buy five (5) raffle tickets and get TWO (2) FREE! You can buy this combination of tickets (5+ 2 free) as many times as you desire! The mission for our annual community fundraiser is to utilize the great reputation of Arizona’s finest at the Department of Public Safety to enhance the well-being of our communities. Since 1983, AZTroopers has granted nearly $1 million to local non-profit organizations and police families because of your participation in the raffle! Money from the raffle is able to provide financial assistance to law enforcement families in need. It has helped our DPS fallen officers survivors, from funeral to travel expenses. AZTroopers members are able to deliver comfort bears to sick children all over the state of Arizona during the Christmas holidays. Raffle funds additionally go to other nonprofits and causes that have a positive impact on law enforcement and Arizona. The drawing is held in December each year at the AZTroopers board meeting. You do not need to be present to win!
There is no limit on the number of tickets you can purchase. Obviously, the more tickets you purchase, the greater your odds of winning one of the prizes. The drawing takes place at the December Arizona Troopers board meeting (usually the third wednesday of the month). Need not be present to win. Winners will be notified by phone or email. You are responsible for taxes applicable with all prizes. Raffle proceeds help benefit ongoing Arizona Troopers programs, including our Christmas Comfort Bear program, educational scholarships, community outreach and the law enforcement community.

I began purchasing raffle tickets on an annual basis in 1986, not really believing there was a chance of winning but wanting to support the activities funded by the raffle proceeds. In 2016, when the call came that our names were on the ticket for the first place prize, our initial reaction was one of disbelief and then reality and excitement followed. – Michael Ann and Bill Whitlow
In late 2015, a nice lady called me and said, “Are you sitting down? You won the $25,000 raffle.” As a retired Arizona DPS officer, this was like a lost treasure found. How nice to support a great program and also have the opportunity to be a winner. Just think of what the program could accomplish if everyone participated. – Bill Smerdon
Winning in 2006 Mike went out before putting his shoes on “in anticipation of buying a brand new Hyundai Genesis……and as of this year, even though Mike has passed away, we still have the vehicle……..The most important thing is to support this raffle because of the many amazing programs it supports………..and many DPS families have won over the years.” – Darlene Osterfeld
While supporting and continuing to support our State Troopers Association, I was excited to win the grand prize in 1998! – R. Ramirez
