LIBERTY HILL, Texas — A Texas sheriff’s deputy was conducting K-9 training when he suffered a fatal heart attack, ODMP reported.
Deputy Sheriff Mark A. Cox was a Navy veteran who had already worked in law enforcement for five years prior to joining the Real County Sheriff’s Office in 2015.

Williamson County Sheriff Robert Chody memorialized Cox on Twitter by posting a photo of the LEO in uniform with a caption that read, “Thank you for your service, Deputy Cox. RIP.”
Cox is survived by his wife and two children.
