Phoenix — On Thursday, April 26, 2018, The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) expects thousands of Red for Ed supporters to demonstrate on the grounds of the State Capitol.
The temperature is forecasted to be just under 100°F, which is why AZDPS is encouraging participants to take precautions in order to avoid serious health risks associated with heat-related illness or injury.
Ideally, participants should already have started to hydrate for the event. In addition, demonstrators should carry sufficient water, food, protective clothing, a hat for sun protection, and sunscreen. Failure to carry these items could lead to serious injury or life threatening illness.
Please remain vigilant for health and other safety concerns; report potential dangers to authorities immediately via 9-1-1 or to the closest state trooper.
Please arrive early in order to find an approved parking space.
