On 8/31/18, at 0700 hours, Samuel Contreras 84 years old, with suspected dementia left 2200 W San Angelo #1126 in Gilbert, AZ on foot. Samuel failed to return and his daughter, Maria Contreras, reported him missing at 1738 hours. Maria advised Samuel has been living at this location since May of 2018. However, he had been living in Mexico for the 24 years prior and is unfamiliar with area.
Samuel likes to use the bus system to travel away from the residence. He is known to ask strangers for rides to Casa Grande or California. He frequently goes for walks in the area. When he left the apartment, Samuel was wearing a black baseball hat with the logo for Caterpillar Equipment on the front, a brown and tan collared shirt with horizontal stripes, black pants with a large belt buckle, and black shoes. On a previous incident, Samuel was located sleeping at Dobson and Main in Mesa, AZ.Ā Ā A search of the immediate area, local hospitals, and law enforcement facilities were checked with negative results. Samuel should have personal identifying information on his person.Ā He was last seen wearing aĀ black baseball hat with the logo for Caterpillar Equipment on the front, a brown and tan collared shirt with horizontal stripes, black pants with a large belt buckle, and black shoes.Ā
