On 09-05-18, between 0630 and 0930 hours, Dale Mortensen walked away from his residence in Gilbert. Dale is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Dale does not have access to a vehicle. He lives at the residence with his wife and daughter. Gilbert police have searched the area neighborhoods on foot, with an air unit, and with motor units. Pinal County deputies assisted by checking Mortensen’s last known residence, but he was not there. In addition, the department posted a missing person alert on social media channels- Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and NextDoor. The Gilbert Crime Prevention Unit also notified the area BlockWatch captains. Police on scene did not locate any signs of foul play, or suspicious circumstances.
