A deputy with the Clackamas County (OR) Sheriff’s Office was with his K-9 partner Abbie on Tuesday when the dog was exposed to heroin in a container. The container spilled and Abbie began exhibiting signs of drug exposure, including rapid blinking and head shaking, according to the Statesman Journal.
A deputy who handles a different K-9 delivered a special Naloxone kit designed for for dogs.
Abbie spent the night at an animal hospital and was released Wednesday.
