AHPA Officer Memorial CeremonyHello,

I am Corinne Mitchell, chair of the Arizona Highway Patrol & Department of Public Safety Heritage Museum, Inc. The Museum was incorporated in November 2013, and was granted its IRS 501(c) (3) non-profit public charity status In July 2014.

Presently, we are not fully operational, but we are starting to see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel. Because of this belief, as a committee we need to begin taking that next step toward turning this dream into reality. As we stride forth, we would like you or your company to be part of the Museum’s vision of “Preserving Our Past for Today and the Future.”

Because we are a non-profit public charity, any contribution you or your company bestows to the Museum is tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the Internal Revenue Service.

In appreciation for your support of the AHP & DPS Heritage Museum, you will be recognized with the posting of your name and/or business on the Museum’s Wall of Honor. As part of this campaign, we have implemented a donation funding ladder with varied amounts on each rung of the ladder. Donation levels range from $100 to $10,000 as depicted on the attached sheet. Sustaining sponsors will be obliged to contribute another $60 each year – only $5 a month.

A primary goal of our Museum is to present the extensive history of the Arizona Highway Patrol and the flourishing heritage of Arizona Department of Public Safety. To accomplish this, through a variety of static displays, hands-on displays and various other exhibits, we plan to inform and educate all who visit whether it’s pre-school children, teens, adults or senior citizens. We want people to know how the Arizona Highway Patrol began in 1931 and how it eventually became part of the Arizona Department of Public Safety in 1969.

Frequently, tour groups will hear from featured experts in areas such as law enforcement, scientific analysis, forensic sciences, DNA, criminal justice careers, sophisticated voice communication technologies, data processing, fingerprinting, human resources, and other appealing and challenging fields within today’s law enforcement or criminal justice communities.

As we move forward, we would like you or your business to be part of this challenge through a tax-deductible contribution which will greatly assist the Museum with the necessary funding needed to address operating and facility costs, professional services, purchase of signage and display cases, document and photographic preservation, supplies, equipment and a number of other museum-related items.

Please give this invitation to be a “founding” sponsor serious consideration and respond with a tax-deductible contribution to the Arizona Highway Patrol & Department of Public Safety Heritage Museum, Inc. This sponsorship is tentatively scheduled to end October 31, 2015. After the deadline, additional opportunities to become a charter sponsor will not be available. Please, don’t delay as time is of the essence for this extraordinary opportunity to show you support for the Museum.

Accompanying this letter is an application form.   Please make checks payable to the AHP & DPS Heritage Museum and mail the applications to:
