DISTRICT REPORTS:
Executive Staff – Colleen Girard would like to have everyone’s e-mail address to help get out important news as fast as possible.
District 15 – Matt Rosemeyer advised that Sgt. Brodye position will be moved to District 3, filed by Sgt. Jim Stanton #3645.
District 3 – Jim Bee advised that Sgt. Otto Walters #4387 will be moving from Area 3 Sanders, taking over for Sgt. Stanton’s position Area 2 Holbrook. Transfer takes place July 4.
District 9 – Chris Lentz advised that Officer Bobby xxxxx is still on light duty. Mr. Elmer Hurda made a donation to fund the District’s picnic.
Civilian Zone II – Vicki Williams advised the Board on three topics:
a) Retiree banquet committee is looking at having the retiree BBQ in November.
b) Chief Lane has asked that if there are any questions on the 2010 budget process to call him and he is willing to travel to the district to answer questions.
c) Had several members question the amount of funds given with motions at last months meeting.
Civilian Southern – Celina Murrieta-Gonzales reported that Dispatchers moving into CORP with prior time being bought will not have this time honored. Looking at changing the law again to allow this movement.
OLD BUSINESS:

Have received the new report from work group. Power point presentation also done. Pending presentation to the Department’s Executive staff.

President Jimmy Chavez returned from his ADOT meeting and took over the meeting.

d) Safety concerns were discussed
e) ADOT Director advised that he had already met with Director Vanderpool prior to the meeting with FOP.
f) Further discussions between ADOT & Department pending

House Bill 2106 – Photo Enforcement Bill
Bill sponsor has agreed to use the bill as a striker bill.
Rep. Erik Meyer District 11 would like to have the photo enforcement money to be used by the Department for Crime lab, equipment, and sworn officer pay.
Raffle – Dave Schroder made a motion to keep the prizes as last years and have the drawing at our December meeting. Motion seconded by Tim Kvochick. Motion carried
REQUEST FOR FUNDING:
Jim Oien OCN II, made a motion to fund $100.00 towards purchasing 4 paving bricks at Tucson PD Officer Hite’s memorial site. Motion seconded by Dave Schroder. Motion carried
