MARIN COUNTY, Calif. – A deputy died early Thursday after losing control of his patrol car.
According to the Associated Press, 24-year-old Ryan Zirkle was responding to a 911 call when his car skidded off the winding road and slammed into a tree shortly after midnight.
The officer was with the department for two and a half years.
