Boston-Area Chief Reduces Agency's Long Guns by 20% at Urging of Activist

As a result of conversations with activist Loren Crowe who served in Afghanistan, Commissioner Branville Bard decided to eliminate camouflage uniforms and identified 20% of the department’s long guns like sniper rifles, M4s and shotguns that could be removed.
