SACRAMENTO ā€” Black Lives Matter protesters harassed a Sacramento police officer linked to the Stephon Clark shooting on the day of his wedding, a video shows.

“I just wondered if you started planning your wedding before you killed Stephon Clark or after,” a woman can be heard saying in the footage posted on the Sacramento BLM Facebook page on Sunday.

“I know this is supposed to be the happiest day of your life, he will not have that opportunity. Ever,” she adds.

Cops fired 20 shots at Clark on March 18, as he was standing in the back yard of his grandparentsā€™ house. Police have said they mistook the 22-year-oldā€™s cell phone for a weapon. The officers have not been charged, but an investigation is ongoing.

Sacramento Police Officers Association president Timothy Davis said in a statement that police officers “deserve to be free from harassment by individuals seeking their own form of justice.”

“Clearly it was inappropriate,” he told the Daily News on Tuesday, referring to the video.

Davis told the Daily News that the officers have faced death threats and harassment since the shooting. He said they are on active duty, but are not in the field.

The officers have not been identified by the police department, but were named by a civil rights lawyer in Oakland after the shooting.

ā€œPeople may think that these officers are just going about their lives, but this is a very traumatic event for everyone,ā€ Sgt. Vance Chandler told CBS in Sacramento.

Sacramento Black Lives Matter founder Tanya Faison defended the incident, telling CBS that “I think they need to be approached in spaces where theyā€™re a little more vulnerable.”

“Weā€™re not violent, weā€™re not gonna give to them what they brought to our community, weā€™re not gonna hurt anyone but we are gonna make them uncomfortable, and they should because someone is dead,” she said.

When asked if the confrontation was a little too extreme, she told the station: ā€œno, because heā€™s gonna remember this day for the rest of his life.”
