The Board of Directors of Below 100 announced the appointment of a new executive director last week.
Roy Bethge has more than 29 years of experience as a police officer and retired as Deputy Chief of Operations in 2017 from the Buffalo Grove Police Department in Illinois. Bethge is an advisory board member for the International Law Enforcement Educators and Trainers Association (ILEETA) and a member of the IACP Training Committee.
He has presented on a number of topics for law enforcement organizations such as the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.
Bethge’s previous work with Below 100 includes serving as a core instructor and board chair. As executive director, he will oversee operations, functions and activities that further Below 100’s mission of providing training and awareness to prevent as many line of duty deaths as possible.
